Sermon Notes

This week Pastor Deric continues our fall series Jesus is LORD OF ALL with a sermon in 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 entitled “LORD of my daily life”

2 Corinthians 3:!6-18
Icebreaker: If you could have a famous singer serenade you with any song, who would it be and what would he or she sing?
1. Read Gen.6:9, Rom. 13:13, Gal.5:16 and Eph.2:10. What is the main quality of a person who is walking with God?
2.  In Romans 13:14 Paul tells us to “put on Christ” – what does he mean by this?
3. Read James 4:8. In order for God to be near to us, what must we do? What are some practical ways of doing this?
4. How does the quality of your daily walk with God impact your life and ministry at City Centre?
5. To walk with someone means you must be agreed to going in the same direction (see Amos 3:3). In what areas of your life have you been going in a different direction than Christ?
6. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) how would you rate your passion/desire for God? What do you think would make it grow more?

7. What did you find helpful or challenging about the message?

“Smart men walked on the moon, daring men walked on the ocean floor, but wise men walk with God.” – Leonard Ravenhill
