Please read all of Jeremiah 32, verses 1 through 44
Ice Breaker: Have you ever encountered a task or a job that your first reaction was, “this impossible?”
What did you do? What was the outcome?
1. What do we see as the purpose behind the message that Jeremiah has brought to King Zedekiah and the people of Judah in verses 1 to 5?
2. Describe the action and the reason behind what God was telling Jeremiah to do. (vv.6-15)
3. What is the hope that Jeremiah clings to in the midst of his prayer to God?  (vv.16-25)
4. Describe the events concerning the fate of the people of Judah and consider how they might be inspired to endure to the end. (vv.26-35)
5. How could God’s response to Jeremiah in this passage describe our contemporary western society?
6. Describe the “light at the end of the tunnel” for Jeremiah and the people of Judah. (vv.36-44) How should we to be encouraged by this truth?

“The Gospel has supernatural versatility to address the particular hopes, fears and idols of every culture and every person.”- Timothy Keller
