Care Ministers Profile

A Care Team member is an individual who shows one-on-one Christian care for individuals facing a crisis or life challenge until the need might be met or the challenge is over.

Your role would be to extend care on behalf of City Centre for one or more individuals for a period of time. You would call regularly, visit as much as is practical or needed. You might be able to drop off a gift meal if needed (provided by the Care Meal Ministry). We would suggest weekly or biweekly calls or visits. As you get to know the individual you’re caring for, you might want to call more or visit more.

Everyone can care … and should care!

Care is not something that is reserved for pastors or other trained professionals, it’s actually something we’re all called to do as believers. In fact, one of the pastor’s main roles is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12), not necessarily doing it all themselves!

As a Christian, you have the Spirit of the living God residing in you! The Spirit empowers you and gives you the credibility and resources to care for others in the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7, Romans 12:5)
