Deric grew up in New Brunswick, “the promised land”, as he affectionately calls it. He is married to April and has 4 children: Erica, (married to Mike; Dallas, TX), Bryce (married to Kristen), Daniel and Caleb. And two standard poodles! Deric joined City Centre as Senior Pastor in October 2007. His 25 years of ministry experience includes executive leadership, teaching at the Bible College level, planting churches and leading churches with attendance from under 100 up to 1600. Prior to coming to City Centre he served as the senior pastor of two large multi-staffed churches. Deric’s vision is to “build believers by the Book” (Ephesians 4:11-16) who will then build up the Body of Christ in Mississauga and beyond. He is a passionate communicator of God’s Word with the view to encouraging you in your journey of faith.
Max has been involved in music ministry for the past 17 years, having founded KasahMusic in 1992 with his sister, Kerris, as a vehicle to inspire and encourage their community toward a true and vibrant faith in Christ. He has been an artist, producer or arranger on 5 albums yet has a diverse background having started and run various companies in industries ranging from health & wellness to internet/technology. His consulting firm specialized in business development and marketing. He holds a B.Sc. in Cellular Biology and a Master's in Psychiatry from McGill University. Max and his wife Elizabeth have a passion for discipleship, leadership development and the revitalization of music ministry in the church, with a commitment to the integration of faith and life. They had their first son, Titus, on September 1, 2010.
DJ has been attending City Centre for 14 years. He is a graduate of Sheridan College and will be continuing his education in January 2012 at Humber College, pursuing Police Foundations. DJ enjoys cooking, hockey and all things about cars. His motivational verse is Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
