Enjoying Jesus 24/7/365

This week our guest Manfred Koehler taught us from 1 Thessalonians 5:17 with a sermon entitled ”Enjoying Jesus 24/7/365”

Questions:
1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

Ice Breaker: When do you pray?

1. Is continual prayer a habit you strive to develop in your life? Why or why not?
2. What negative thoughts cause us to think that "pray without ceasing" is an unrealistic ideal? How can we overcome negativity?
3. What other passages of scripture support the idea of practicing the presence of Christ in our lives?
4. What positive impacts would applying 1 Thess. 5:17 produce in your life?
5. In the midst of these final instructions from Paul to the church at Thessalonica, how would you categorize his instruction on prayer?
6. How would continual prayer simplify our efforts to walk in the Spirit with Christ?

“The basic purpose of prayer is not to bend God’s will to mine, but to mould my will to His.” - Timothy Keller
